X-ray diagnostics and differential diagnostics of tuberculosis of the respiratory organs

The purpose of mastering the academic discipline "X-ray diagnostics and differential diagnostics of tuberculosis of the respiratory organs" is to acquire fundamental basic knowledge, skills and abilities in the field of phthisiopulmonology, X-ray diagnostics and differential diagnostics of tuberculosis, based on evidence and recommendations of WHO, as well as the ability to apply the acquired knowledge, skills and abilities to effectively solve problems in the field of professional activity.

Studying this discipline will help future specialists pulmonologists, phthisiologists, thoracic surgeons, general practitioners to understand the causes and characteristics of pathologies (such as tumors, cysts, inflammatory lesions, etc.), interpreting the results of X-ray, microbiological, immunological studies in differentiating pulmonary tuberculosis from other pulmonary diseases; and will also contribute to the formation of the skill of choosing the optimal X-ray, microbiological and immunological examination methods for adults and children with suspected pulmonary tuberculosis in accordance with evidence-based diagnostic algorithms.
