Polyclinic therapy

The most vulnerable link in modern healthcare is outpatient medicine. However, this is the area of activity able to influence the state of health of the population.

Differences in teaching methods in the clinic and polyclinic are dictated by the characteristics of goals and objectives and require a differentiated approach.

Many very important sections of the doctor’s work are only cognized in the clinic and require a large amount of additional knowledge and skills that are not needed in the clinic or needed to a much smaller extent (e.g. medical and labor expertise, prevention, medical check-up, employment, etc.).

The specifics of the work of the polyclinic doctor requires greater efficiency within the limited time for seeing a patient in the clinic, at home, while providing emergency care at the prehospital stage.

Particular attention should be paid to the course and treatment of diseases in the elderly and senile, to the course and treatment of somatic pathology in pregnant women.
