This program is designed for students of higher medical educational institutions. Its main task is for students to master the methodology for examining a patient with highlighting individual symptoms of a lesion with their subsequent grouping into syndromes, and determining the level of topical lesion, which will make it possible to compare the level of lesion with modern diagnostic methods used in neurology. In addition, the program enables to study the most important aspects of the clinic, modern methods of diagnosing, treatment and prevention of diseases of the nervous system.
In practical classes, special attention should be paid to the development of examination skills, topical and clinical diagnoses, and the appointment of treatment. In clinical trials, attention must be paid to the examination of temporary and permanent loss of disability, as well as the employment of patients with diseases of the nervous system.
When studying the “Nervous system” course, the basic teaching methods should be used: students working in practical classes and lectures, working with visual aids, sketching of pathways, examining patients with various symptoms and syndromes, protecting clinical histories, in-depth study of individual sections of the course on reference books and monographs.
