Course Goal:
To develop students’ understanding of how environmental factors affect human health and to teach the principles of disease prevention and health promotion.
Course Objectives:
1. To introduce students to the main concepts, sections, and purposes of hygiene.
2. To study the effects of physical, chemical, biological, and social environmental factors on the human body.
3. To train students to assess the sanitary conditions of environmental objects (air, water, soil, housing, educational facilities).
4. To develop hygienic thinking and the ability to apply preventive knowledge in professional practice.
5. To promote a responsible attitude toward personal and public health and a healthy lifestyle.
For students majoring in “General Medicine”
• Total labor input: 4 credit (144 hours)
• Classroom sessions: 72 hours
• Students’ independent work: 72 hours
