The purpose of mastering the elective course Monitoring and rehabilitation of children with chronic diseases is the formation of students' practical skills to provide medical care to children with the most common chronic diseases in the primary health care system.
The objectives of the discipline are:
1. Teaching students to recognize signs of exacerbation of chronic pathological process when examining a sick child;
2. Teaching students to choose optimal methods of examination in chronic diseases in children and make an algorithm of differential diagnosis;
3. Teaching students to conduct rehabilitation and preventive measures among children with some chronic forms of diseases;
4. Forming skills of communication with a sick child and their parents/guardians taking into account ethics and deontology depending on the identified pathology and the
