On 11 May 2026, the Department of Surgical Diseases of IHSM, represented by lecturer Akbermet Anarbaeva, in collaboration with the Student Research Society of the Issyk-Kul Campus, successfully conducted the “Surgical Workshop” for medical students. The workshop was well supported by the Academic Head Co-ordinator of the Student Research Society, Aidai Zhumadilova.
The workshop focused on the development of essential practical surgical skills, including surgical knot tying, bandaging techniques, and suturing techniques. Participants had the opportunity to improve their hands-on abilities under guided instruction in an interactive educational environment.
The event promoted practical surgical training, teamwork, and professional engagement among students. At the end of the workshop, certificates were awarded to students for their active participation in the event.
