IHSM Representative Participates in the Opening of Air Quality Monitoring Station in Osh

On September 10, 2026, Kenesh O. Dzhusupov, Head of the Department, Ph.D. (Medicine), Associate Professor at IHSM, participated in the opening ceremony of a new air quality monitoring station at Osh State University.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of Osh city administration, Osh State University, JICA Kyrgyzstan, the Institute of Science Tokyo, and project participants.

The station continuously monitors air pollution and automatically collects data, which will be used to assess air quality in Osh and conduct scientifically based environmental research.

The station operates within the framework of the IRCAPS research project, implemented since 2025 in partnership with the Institute of Science Tokyo and supported by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). The project focuses on air pollution research, continuous monitoring, and the use of collected scientific data for research and educational purposes.

IHSM’s participation in the initiative contributes to strengthening scientific cooperation and the exchange of expertise in the field of environmental and public health.
