«The Impact of the Erasmus Plus BERNICA Program on the Development of Educational and Research Capacities in the Field of Nutrition and Dietetics in Central Asia in the Context of the Sustainable Development Goals»

On June 4th and 5th, 2025, International Educational and Scientific Conference «The Impact of the Erasmus Plus BERNICA Program on the Development of Educational and Research Capacities in the Field of Nutrition and Dietetics in Central Asia in the Context of the Sustainable Development Goals» will be held at the base of the NJSC «Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov». The conference is organized within the framework of the Erasmus Plus BERNICA project. The conference is dedicated to current issues in nutrition and dietetics, as well as the peculiarities of nutrition for different population groups. Representatives from partner universities in Central Asian countries, with support from European universities participating in the BERNICA project, will take part in the event.

The moderators of the conference are:

  • Laura Paluanova - Official Coordinator of the Erasmus Plus National Office in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
  • Kenesh O. Dzhusupov - Erasmus Plus Program Coordinator for Central Asia: CANERIEH, TUTORIAL, HARMONEE, BERNICA European Coordinator.
  • Karlygash K. Toguzbayeva - Coordinator for the Republic of Kazakhstan and NJSC «Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov» of the Erasmus Plus program: CANERIEH, TUTORIAL, HARMONEE, BERNICA.

Representatives of the IHSM participate in the conference events:

  1. Kenesh О. Dzhusupov - Central Asia Coordinator for Erasmus Plus programs: CANERIEH, TUTORIAL, HARMONEE, European Coordinator for BERNICA;
  2. Evgeniya F. Lim - Head of the Department of Special Surgical Disciplines;
  3. Nazgul B. Matkerimova - Lecturer at the Department of Public Health.

The program includes several sessions, workshops, and cultural events, creating a rich educational environment for the participants.
