Infrastructure
International University of Kyrgyzstan (IUK) has several campuses which are located in different parts of Bishkek. The central unit of the university is situated in the heart of the city.

The central and east campuses of IUK are well equipped with a sufficient number of auditoriums, lecture halls, leisure facilities. Practical labs are well designed and have modern multimedia equipment.

The central Library of the University is located in this area, allowing students to get almost all specific books and manuals needed for academic studies. Our Library well supplied with academic books,  also retains space for many other useful books that students may find interesting.

ISM Main Campus

Since the ISM training program has its own medical specifics in comparison with other faculties of IUK, ISM operates in its own campus located separately from other IUK campuses. ISM campus includes an administrative building,  180 beds hospital and morphological building.

The administrative building of ISM is situated six blocks away from central IUK campus and includes the Administrative Department with Rector`s and Vice Rector`s offices, Accounting Department, Academic Affairs Department and HR Department. Dean`s office is also located here to manage the educational process and handle any sort of students’ problems.

The left block of the 3rd floor is occupied by the Chair of Humanitarian Disciplines, which include Russian, Medical English and Medical Latin language classes. The right block is the setting for International Affairs and Students` Affairs Departments.

The left block of 4th floor is the location of the Chair of Natural Sciences and Disciplines and the right block is Practical Skills Laboratory providing ISM students with possibilities to develop their practical knowledge in broad areas of medicine.

The left block of 5th floor is for the Chair of Pathology and the right block is occupied by the Chair of Public Health.

Issyk-Kul Regional Campus

ISM features new campus in the beautiful Issyk-Kul region, Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan. Issyk-Kul  is a lake in the northern Tian Shan mountains in eastern Kyrgyzstan. It is the tenth largest lake in the world by volume (though not in surface area), and the second largest saline lake after the Caspian Sea. Issyk-Kul means “warm lake” in the Kyrgyz language; although it is surrounded by snow-capped peaks, it never freezes.

Located 262 km. from main campus ISM will provide students with the unique opportunity to be involved in a variety of water activities. This campus will start its function from September 2017.

Issyk-Kul Regional Campus

Morphological building:

The Morphological building is located not very far from the ISM central campus. It is the university unit designed for delivering practical classes in the following fields:

  • Anatomy
  • Physiology
  • Histology
  • Biochemistry
  • Pathological Physiology
  • Pharmacology
  • Economics
  • Biology

It is a big building with many well-equipped classrooms, lecture halls, laboratories and morgue. Anatomical dissections, practicals and presentations are conducted there.

ISM Classrooms in the National Hospitals:

ISM has several agreements with the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic on conducting lectures, practical and clinical classes in public hospitals of Bishkek. They have many classrooms located in all medical departments of the National Hospital in Bishkek.

The departments include Cardiology, Endocrinology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Nephrology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Orthopedics, Oncology, Medical Physiotherapy and many others.

Lectures are conducted in lecture halls. During practical classes, students are taken to respective departments to collect case histories of patients, which encourages student-patient interaction and contributes to the practical medical knowledge of students.
