The Scientific Library of the International Higher School of Medicine was founded in 2003. It is one of the important structural units of the IHSM and is designed to support the learning, educational and scientific processes, as well as to provide an access to domestic and global knowledge and information.

As at 28 October 2026 the total number of storage units of the library fund is 24 998 copies, including:

• books — 19 868 copies
• newspapers & journals — 1 298 copies
• electronic editions — 3 832 copies

The library funds are located in 4 educational buildings:

• Central Campus (Bishkek, Intergelpo street 1F, 5th floor);
• Clinical Simulation Center (Bishkek, Shabdan Batyr 643, 3rd floor);
• Educational and Morphological Center (Bishkek, Shabdan Batyr 638, 1st floor);
• Issyk-Kul Campus (Cholpon-Ata, Akin Jumaliev street 1 А, 2nd building 1st floor).

The structure of the library includes 4 subscriptions, 4 reading and computer rooms for 156 seats.

The library's computer park consists of 303 computers with Internet access, free Wi-Fi, and office multifunction devices (3x1) for scanning and printing educational materials. Library users can listen to and view audio and video materials, and there is also a projector and screen for lectures, training seminars, presentations, and other informational and mass events.

The library's website also contains information about the library's basic details, structure, and collections, as well as rules for use and all necessary links to electronic resources available locally and remotely.
