Antibiotic awareness day at the IHSM
Be Antibiotics aware. Smart use, best care.
International Student Union - Tunduk (ISN-Tunduk) of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) raised awareness of the threat of antibiotic resistance and the importance of appropriate antibiotic use on 24th 2022.
The World Health Organization (WHO)
defines it this way: “Antibiotic resistance occurs when bacteria change in response to the use of these medicines. Bacteria, not humans or animals, become antibiotic-resistant.”
Participants of the awareness day outlined several goals including: raising information about antibiotics, increasing monitoring and research, reducing infections, making the best use of antimicrobial medications through posters and quiz.
Dr.Dabburu Kumaraswamy and Dr. Cholpon T. Sulaimanova were invited as the jury for the event. In addition to that, students from Royal Metropolitan University were invited to be a part of the quiz competition.
According to the quiz competition, the following students were distinguished by their academic performance

According to the poster competition, the following students were distinguished by their abilities to express the knowledge on a given topic

Host for the events were Insha Mohi ud din and Afroz Alam.
The administration of the IHSM thanks its student organization for directing to smart use of antibiotics, as it is the key of controlling its spread.
