DEBATE COMPETITION
Student Council of ISM organised a DEBATE COMPETITION on the eve of "National Youth Day"(156th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda) on a very important topic "MODERN LIFESTYLE AND HEALTH OF YOUTH" on Saturday, 12th January 2019 at Dean Office.
Students of ISM actively participated in a 2 Round Debate out of which the 1st round was British Parliamentary Debate which had 2 teams Government and Opposition. The Government side opened the debate and set the boundaries fir the motion. The Opposition provided constructive arguments and refuted the government speakers.
The Opposition won the 1st round and proceeded to the final round of the debate the 2nd round which was a timed Debate on 4 motions (Technology, Work Routine, Food Habits and Globalisation). The debaters debated among themselves individually.
The most active, factual and confident speakers were selected as winners of the competition. Taimoor Ahmad Shumail from 2nd Semester secured 1st place and Chandaka Sai Manogna from 5th Semester secured the 2nd place in this Debate.
