On 18 October 2018, the International School of Medicine (ISM) held the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Innovations in Medical Science and Education." The conference was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Academic Consortium of the International University of Kyrgyzstan, the 15th anniversary of the International School of Medicine and the 70th anniversary of the founder of ISM-Professor Sh.M. Chyngyshpayev.

The conference was attended by representatives of universities and research institutes from Russian Federation, Bulgaria, India, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. In parallel with the conference, an international student Olympiad on anatomy and operative surgery was held, where 13 teams from Novosibirsk State Medical University, Andijan Medical Institute, Ataturk Ala-Too International University, and the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B. N. Yeltsin, Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K.Akhunbaev, Osh State University and  International School of Medicine.

All participants were greeted by the Rector of International School of Medicine-Akhunbayev Stalbek Mederovich, Deputy Minister-Karatayev Madaminzhan Musaevich, Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic and Deputy Minister-Muratov Abdimanap Attokurovich, Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The conference consisted of a plenary session, presentations and reports of the representatives from various universities. During the plenary session, reports were presented containing information on innovative approaches in the field of medical education.

According to the results of the performances the winners were determined, who were awarded diplomas and cash prizes.

Rector of ISM-Akhunbaev Stalbek Mederovich gave a congratulatory speech and handed awards. He noted the productive work of the conference and thanked all the guests and participants for taking an active part in the conference.
