Administration of International School of Medicine (ISM) is proudly announcing that the student of 9th semester, Joy Guharay, participated in the Annual Young Medical Scientists` Conference 2018 held in Kiev, Ukraine from November 23-25, 2018 at the Bogomolets National Medical University (BNMU).

The conference was attended by 450 participants from the countries of the Caucasus, Middle East, Nigeria, Belarus Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. Young scientists and students presented more than 100 scientific reports that were evaluated by the members of the jury sections - academicians of the National Academy of Science and National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and leading Professors and Associate Professors of BNMU.

Annual Young Medical Scientists` Conference 2018 was opened by welcoming speech of the Rector of BNMU, Honored Doctor of Ukraine, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor O. Naumenko. He noted that the International Conference for Students and Young Scientists is an opportunity to learn, understand new trends in medicine, make new friends and wished the conference participants fruitful and successful work.

Student of ISM-Joy Guharay under the supervision of Doctor Medical Sciences, Professor V.Alekseev, and Dr.Y. Starodubets was awarded 1st place for the “BEST RESEARCH” at the Annual Young Medical Scientists Conference 2018 in the session Obstetrics and Gynecology and his research report on “Risk factors leading to birth defects in Kyrgyzstan” was published on Ukrainian Scientific Medical Youth Journal, special edition №1 (107)2018.
