INTERNAL DISEASES: FAMILY MEDICINE

The most vulnerable link in modern healthcare is family medicine. However, it is namely the family medicine, which is able to influence the state of health of the population.

Differences in the methodology of teaching family medicine are dictated by the characteristics of goals and objectives and require a differentiated approach.

Many very important sections of the doctor’s work are only known in the clinic and require a large amount of additional knowledge and skills that are needed in the clinic to a much smaller extent (e.g. medical and labor expertise, prevention, medical, employment, etc.).

The specifics of the work of the polyclinic doctor requires greater efficiency within the limited time for seeing patients in the clinic, at home, while providing emergency care at the prehospital stage.

Particular attention should be paid to the course and treatment of diseases in the elderly and senile, to the course and treatment of somatic pathology in pregnant women and children.
