State language and language policy department

The State Language and Language Policy Department operates under the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Constitutional Law of the Kyrgyz Republic on the State Language, the regulatory documents of the Kyrgyz Republic, Decrees of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Resolutions and Orders of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the Charter of the IHSM.

The main goal of the state language and language Policy department at IHSM is the further development of the state language. Promotion of the state Kyrgyz language in training specialists in all areas of medicine and health care. Citizens of such countries as India, Pakistan, South Korea, England, Nepal, Bangladesh, Maldives, etc. gain knowledge at IHSM where the education is conducted in English, accordingly, all documentation until 2019 was maintained in the official language. In September 2019, a Kyrgyz language development department was established by order of the IHSM rector, and since then the process of translating documentation into the state language is underway. A Kyrgyz language study center was opened, and an annual Kyrgyz language contest is held among university students. Dear Colleagues, Further study and development of the Kyrgyz language at IHSM will create a foundation for integration, internationalization and mutual enrichment of cultures of peoples, and our beloved students will learn more deeply about the culture, traditions and spiritual values of the ancient Kyrgyz people.
