Organizational structure. The International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) is organized in accordance with the main principles of international education standards, which are the key to success of the modern medical institution. The existing organizational structure of the School allows for the adaptation of external and internal educational policies in accordance with the values of our School, as well as offers a wide range of opportunities for IHSM administration, academic staff and students to participate in many areas of teaching, research and treatment activities.

The IHSM has 16 structural divisions, 14 departments, а Trade Union Committee, Issyk-Kul regional campus, Clinical Simulation Centers, Medical Clinics - Vedanta and Vedanta Issyk-Kul, and three student organizations.

The IHSM is managed by the Rector, Stalbek Mederovich Akhunbaev, who grants corresponding authorities to the Vice-Rectors, who are part of the university's Administrative Management Body and who supervise specific areas of IHSM activities.

The Academic Departments of IHSM are the main structural divisions of the School, carrying out the implementation of educational programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate level by qualified teaching staff, implementation of research, educational and methodological studies.

The Accounting Department conducts the full range of financial operations, ensuring the effective day-to-day academic and research activities of IHSM.

The Dean's Office primarily organizes and oversees the educational process, makes and implements appropriate academic decisions, monitors the educational process, supervises students and student life. The Dean's Office communicates and interacts with students, academic staff, and the structural divisions of the IHSM.

Postgraduate Studies Office organizes, coordinates and supervises the educational process and research activities of clinical residents, Master's and PhD students. It searches for and organizes professional development courses for school teachers, thereby contributing to the creation of conditions for continuity and gradualness of education, development of specialist's potential, meeting the requirements of employers and the state in qualified personnel.

Academic Affairs Department is engaged in the implementation of the educational program of the School, controlling and monitoring the quality of education, with the dynamic improvement, development and modernization of the educational process.

International Affairs Department organizes activities aimed at the development, strengthening and improving the effectiveness of international relations of the IHSM. Also, the International Affairs Department conducts admission of applicants for study, works with alumni, conducts marketing activities within the objectives of the IHSM.

The responsibility of the HR Department is to implement IHSM human resources policy and control various aspects of employment and work activities, such as compliance with Labor Laws and standards of current work performance, staff motivation, and the regulation of hiring and firing processes.

The Quality Management Department is dedicated to the design, implementation, operational support, and improvement of the educational program quality management system.

Document Control Department establishes unified documentation standards, provides registration, recording and control of external and internal document flow; distributes orders, instructions, notices and familiarizes interested individuals with them, as well as monitors their execution.

The purpose of the Medical Department is to implement the policy of the IHSM in the field of providing qualified medical care to the population of the Kyrgyz Republic and other consumers in accordance with the strategy and development plans, aimed at the maximum realization of the potential of IHSM employees.

Students' Affairs Department provides documentation of academic personal records of the students at IHSM and is responsible for recording, storage, processing, preparation, legalization and issuance of educational certificates.

The Research and Analytical Department develops the main directions of IHSM scientific and technological development and effectively coordinates the interaction between IHSM structural divisions on research activities in order to implement current and long-term plans of research works, on innovative methods in education and healthcare as well as, provides training of full-time and part-time students in 7 clinical disciplines and performance of research works of students.

The main task of the IT department is production, implementation, maintenance and development of a computer-communication and software-information technological environment.

The Department of State Language consistently promotes the state language in all departments and divisions of IHSM and enhances the role of the state language in education, as well as builds and develops the spiritual values of the Kyrgyz people.

The main purpose of the Planning and Procurement Department is to represent the interests of the IHSM as a Client in terms of planning and placement of orders for goods, works, services for the needs of the IHSM.

Support Service provides adaptation and integration of students into the academic community and social life, academic advising of students on the choice of educational pathways and other aspects of academic activities, as well as prevention and protection of students from social risks, mitigation and elimination of their consequences.

The International Cooperation Center works directly with students in terms of ensuring their legal stay in Kyrgyzstan, specificaly in processing of visa documents.

The main purpose of the Directorate for IHSM Clinic Network's Development is to plan and establish IHSM medical clinics, organize their construction, and provide the material and technical base for the Medical and Preventive Divisions of the university.

The Supply and Maintenance Department ensures the reliable functioning of technical, operational and communication systems in order to meet all requirements of general, sanitary and fire safety.
