IHSM structure

 

The structure of the IHSM is organized according to main principles and international standards for medical educational institution. Such an organization of the school makes it possible to adapt foreign and domestic educational policies in line with the three main values of our school: Equity, Quality and Transparency and paves the way for IHSM administration, faculty, and students to participate in many aspects of university life.

 

Thus, the IHSM has 12 offices, 13 academic departments, Issyk-Kul Regional Campus, Virtual Clinic, "Vedanta" and two student organizations.

 

Rector – Dr. Stalbek Mederovich Akhunbaev. He’s assisted by seven Vice-Rectors, each of them assigned to oversee specific areas of IHSM activities.

 

Dean` s office is primarily responsible for overseeing school’s academic operations, managing students and making relevant academic decisions. It serves as a bridge between students, faculty and administration.

 

HR Department manages human resources and oversees various aspects of employment,  such as compliance with labor law and employment standards, administration of employee benefits, and some aspects of recruitment and dismissal.

 

Education Quality Management Department deals with the design, implementation, operational support and improvement of the quality management system of education.

 

International Affairs Department conducts the entire scope of international work and oversees various international projects implemented by IHSM structural divisions.

 

Students` Affairs Department keeps all the records (financial and academic performance related, etc.) of all IHSM students and is mainly responsible for processing and issuing various academic documents to students.

 

International Cooperation Center works directly with students in terms of ensuring their legal stay in Kyrgyzstan, namely registration of their passports and making visa arrangements. The Center whenever needed or at their requests also issues various papers, documents certifying to their being actual IHSM students.

 

Academic Affairs Department is engaged in the implementation of the educational program through monitoring and improvement of the training process. The department works closely with the IHSM faculty, deals with undergraduate and postgraduate programs and is responsible for guiding students during their studies.

 

Accounting Department conducts the whole range of financial operations ensuring effective IHSM daily educational and research activities.

 

Research and Analytical Department works on effective interaction and coordination of the activities of the structural units of ISM in the implementation of research activities, on the implementation of annual and long-term plans of research works, on innovations in medicine.

 

Postgraduate Studies Office provides young scientists with the disciplinary background and skills required to contribute to the development of our understanding and improving the ways to measure, maintain, and enhance the health of people. The Department ensures proper involvement of PG students in a highly focused area of research reflecting scholarship at the doctoral level, who are exposed to a broad view of public health as seen in the diverse research interests of the department`s faculty.

 

Supplies and Maintenance Department controls appropriate functioning of the electric and communication systems, observes IHSM premises keeping them in good condition with the standards of sanitation, general safety and fire safety, conducts preventive maintenance of heating, water supply, lighting, ventilation and sewage systems, being responsible for cleaning and landscaping. The department provides the safeguard of tangible assets, maintaining records and reporting of their spending, with the transportation for these purposes arranged.
