PATHOLOGICAL PHYSIOLOGY

Pathological physiology is one of the basic disciplines in the system of medical education and in the practice of a doctor of any specialty.

Pathological physiology studies the typical causes and mechanisms of the development of the disease. The main part of pathological physiology is the study of typical pathological processes that are an integral part of the disease. Without a clear knowledge of what changes occur in the organs and systems of the human body when exposed to damaging factors, a deep understanding of the essence of the disease is impossible. Knowing the causes and mechanisms of the development of typical pathological processes, the future doctor can correctly assess the origin of various signs and manifestations of the disease, and, therefore, make the correct diagnosis.

Equally important is the study of compensatory-adaptive mechanisms in organs and systems in case of damage, which will help the future doctor in the future be able to stimulate compensation mechanisms and prevent damage mechanisms.
