On December 20, 2023, a round table on the “Development of Internship and Residency at the International Higher School of Medicine: Challenges and Prospects” was held. The purpose of the round table was to discuss issues related to the training of residency graduates and the implementation of internships at the International Higher School of Medicine. Additionally, the participants aimed to develop measures for further cooperation among stakeholders to enhance the content and quality of educational programs for internship and residencies.

During the Round Table, the following reports were presented and discussed:

1. Bazhanova A.E., Dean of IHSM Postgraduate Studies: "Introduction of Internship at IHSM. Issues of recognition of documents on passing internship and residency in the Kyrgyz Republic in foreign countries."
2. Osmonova A.T., Head of the Introduction to Therapy and Family Medicine Department, Supervisor of the Residency Program in the specialization “Family Medicine/General Practitioner”: “Features of Residency Training for Foreign Students”.
3. Denisova O.G., Specialist in the Dean’s Office of PGE: “Report on the Results of a Survey Among Residents and Teachers Involved in the Implementation of Residency Programs on Satisfaction with Various Aspects of the Educational Process”.
4. Manoj Yadav, Resident, 6th Semester (Specialty: Traumatology and Orthopedics): “Training Experience in the Residency Program ‘Traumatology and Orthopedics” at the IHSM”.

Based on the results of the discussion of the presented reports, proposals, and recommendations were made for further cooperation between stakeholders on improving the content and quality of educational programs of internship and residency in the Kyrgyz Republic.
