Childhood diseases (providing inpatient care to children) is a clinical discipline that trains students in triage of emergency conditions, provision of emergency and inpatient medical care to children with the most common diseases.

The content of the program on childhood diseases of the 10th semester is based on the recommendations of the Integrated Management of Childhood Illnesses (IMCI, WHO) for the provision of hospital care to children.

The knowledge gained during the study of the discipline should help students in their future professional activities in understanding the management of the most common diseases in children.

The results of studying the program will enable the student to develop practical skills in recognizing disease syndromes, interpret clinical results of laboratory and instrumental research methods, carry out differential diagnosis of diseases in children and provide them with emergency care.
