In an atmosphere of joy and celebration, the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) marked its 20th anniversary, a significant milestone in its history. The highlight of this remarkable day was the VI International Scientific-Practical Conference, focused on the theme of “Innovations in the Field of Medical Science and Education.” This prestigious event unfolded at the historical museum of the Kyrgyz Republic, attracting a diverse and distinguished audience from all corners of the globe. Delegates from Kyrgyzstan, Japan, India, Russia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, China, Germany, Uzbekistan, and Karakalpakstan came together to exchange knowledge and celebrate IHSM’s success.

Throughout the conference, heartfelt congratulatory messages from esteemed guests resonated in the air, reflecting the deep admiration and support for IHSM. The rector of IHSM, Stalbek M. Akhunbaev, took the opportunity to honor individuals whose exceptional contributions have been instrumental in the growth of the school.

The inaugural part of the program featured an array of vibrant and culturally diverse performances. The talented group “Sensation” enchanted the audience with their Kyrgyz-language performances, creating a memorable and harmonious start to the festivities.
A defining moment of the 20th-anniversary celebrations was the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between IHSM and Shanghai Medical University, reflecting IHSM’s commitment to advancing medical education on a global scale.

In the second segment of the event, the plenary session commenced, with experts and scholars delving into the latest challenges and technologies in medical education. Additionally, an international scientific conference is currently underway at the Issyk-Kul regional campus in Cholpon-Ata, extending the celebrations for two more days.

As IHSM commemorates two decades of excellence and resilience, the institution remains committed to its mission of fostering medical education and making significant contributions to the world of medicine.
