AMSA-KG IS PART OF IFMSA
The Asian Medical Students' Association-Kyrgyzstan (AMSA-KG) led by the students of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) became a member of the International Federation of Medical Students' Association (IFMSA), thus representing Kyrgyzstan and International Higher School of Medicine in the world medical arena.
AMSA-KG applied for the membership in 2019 with the aim of presenting its candidature in 69th General Assembly from 1st to 7th March of 2020 in Rwanda, Central Africa and was voted upon in favor with tremendous support from each and every NMO around the world, 81 out of 85, and was represented by the student of 10th semester - PLNC Gowtham Venu and 8th-semester student - Parth Desai.
IFMSA was founded in 1951, moreover, it is one of the world’s oldest and largest student-run organizations. It represents, connects, furthermore it engages the medical students from 135 NMOs in 125 countries around the globe.
IFMSA brings people together to exchange, discuss and initiate projects to create a healthier world. It trains its members to give the skills and resources needed to be health leaders.
