Defa, Erasmus + Issyk -Kul

A workshop within the framework of the European Erasmus+ Project 01082829-DEFA-ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE titled “Development of Financial Autonomy of Universities in Kyrgyzstan” (DEFA) is currently underway at Issyk-Kul State University named after K.Tynystanov in Karakol city, Issyk-Kul.

The workshop gathers an esteemed group of participants from both the European Union and Kyrgyzstan, reflecting a collaborative effort to enhance the financial autonomy of higher education institutions in Kyrgyzstan.

Among the representatives from the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) are Chief Accountant Madina I. Mairikova, Accountant Emir T. Stamaliev, and Head of the International Affairs Department Makhabat K. Karagulova, Ph.D. (Philology), Associate Professor, who delivered a comprehensive report on the “Implementation of the Quality Assurance System Plan.”

During the workshop, participants engaged in discussions on several critical topics, including the implementation of the dissemination plan, project expectations, and further actions to ensure the sustainability of the project. These discussions aim to fortify the financial strategies of Kyrgyz universities, promoting greater autonomy and effectiveness in their operations.
