September 23 - State Language Day
Dear IHSM community!
The Kyrgyz language is a symbol of our statehood, the basis of cohesion and unity of our people, our eternal spiritual treasure.
As our great writer Chingiz Aitmatov said, "Language is a self-portrait and an image of a nation. Therefore, we express our attitude towards the state through concern for our state language. On September 23, 1989, the Kyrgyz language was declared the "State Language". At that time, this step required a lot of willpower. The proclamation of our native language as the "State Language" was one of the great achievements of our people.
A new generation of Kyrgyzstanis is being brought up in the Kyrgyz Republic, who know the state language, the official language and foreign languages well. Our ancestors created the Manas epic in their native language and passed it from generation to generation.
We will be able to preserve our national face, culture, spirit and traditions only when we preserve our native language. Foreign students from all over the world studying medicine at the IHSM, study the Kyrgyz language, which is the State language, along with medicine.
We strongly believe that in the future, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kyrgyz language will be one of the most heard, known and spoken languages in the world, along with training the best doctors in the world!
Happy State Language Day!
