Development of PhD programs in the Kyrgyz Republic results and challenges
The Conference format was organized online on 21st April 2021 and the purpose of the conference was to discuss the implementation of measures to strengthen research and innovation potential in Kyrgyzstan by promoting the PhD system.
Tasks:
- Summarize the achieved results, strengths and weaknesses, lessons learned in the implementation process.
- Determine the necessary measures and conditions for the further implementation and improvement of the quality of doctoral programs in accordance with the needs of interested parties.
- Consider and discuss the existing barriers and recommendations for improving the competencies of the teaching staff and attracting qualified specialists to academic and scientific work in universities.
- Improve the administration of PhD educational programs.
- Discuss the possibilities and necessary steps to establish long-term and sustainable cooperation between the relevant government departments, specialized universities and the business community to train highly qualified personnel that meet the needs of priority sectors of the Kyrgyz economy.
- Promote of a PhD culture among academics, interested parties and the general public in Kyrgyzstan.
