The III Science and Practice Conference Pitfalls in Surgery and Transplantation took place in the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev (KSMA), February 13, 2020.

Prominent surgeons and medical specialists from Russia and Kyrgyzstan took part in this conference organized by KSMA together with the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU), National Hospital under the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic and the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM).

The vice prime minister of the Kyrgyz Republic emphasized the importance of the forum of surgeons of the two countries, dedicated to the cross year of Russia and Kyrgyzstan, and also wished them success in solving modern problems of medicine in her greeting speech.

The conference was initiated to raise the problems of modern medicine that are relevant for both countries and combine the efforts of specialists in solving them. Russian scientists shared their experience in liver surgery and transplantation Zagainov V.E. and Porshennikov I.A.

A Memorandum between the Association of Oncologists of Kyrgyzstan and the Association of Oncologists of Russia on a joint solution of pressing medical and social issues was signed during the conference. It was signed by the leaders of the abovementioned public organizations I.O. Khudaibergenova and A.D. Kaprin.
