Inclusive society for children with disabilities

Ph.D. (Medicine), Associate Proffesor - Najimidinova G.T., Department of Pediatrics of the International Higher School of Medicine, participated in the round-table on 25th February 2022 organized by the NGO "Hand in Hand" within the framework of the Publuc Fund Fair and Sustainable Development Solutions (FSDS) project "Inclusive Society for Children with Disabilities, Phase 3".

During the round-table there was a discussion of the draft «Program of early development and intervention in the Kyrgyz Republic». Early intervention is a set of services provided to children with disabilities at an early and preschool age and their families for the purpose of development.

 

 

 

According to the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic,  the number of children with disabilities is increasing annually, 32,634 children with disabilities today in the Kyrgyz Republic.

What needs to be done?

-Early detection and intervention - the key to a successful education of the child.

-Functional approach in early intervention.

-Interagency cooperation on early intervention.
