Usama Abbas, a 5th-semester student of the 4th group of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM), participated in the International Student Scientific and Practical Conference "Preventive and Clinical Medicine 2023". His presentation on "Assessment of academic stress in first-year international students at the International Higher School of Medicine" was presented at this event.

The conference took place on November 11, 2023, at the Caspian University, located Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan. The organizers were the Caspian State University, the Caspian International School of Medicine, and the Department of Biomedical Disciplines.

Students, postgraduates, and undergraduates from leading universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan engaged in research in the field of preventive and clinical medicine and gathered at this conference to develop the scientific potential of the younger generation. The event included a plenary session, work in parallel sections, round tables, and masterclasses. The sections focused on various areas such as adaptive capabilities of the body, infectious and surgical diseases, as well as risk factors and prevention of oncology.

We extend to faculty member of the IHSM Ykyval T. Taalaibekova of the Department of Fundamental Disciplines for Normal Physiology for preparing the student for this conference.
