From December 7 to December 9, 2021, the International Higher School of Medicine of the Kyrgyz Republic will undergo the international program accreditation which will be conducted by the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR). An external expert commission will perform its work on self-assessment of the educational program "General Medicine" for compliance with the criteria for accreditation of higher education organizations of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating. For this purpose, a report was prepared, the content of which is structured in accordance with the Standard of the specialized accreditation of medical schools and includes a description of the standards and appendices on relevant standards, as well as a description of  strengths and areas for improvement for each standard.

In order to obtain objective information on the assessment of the activities of the university, the members of the external expert commission (EEC) will use the following methods: visual inspection, observation, interviewing employees of various structural units, teachers, students, employers, questioning survey of the teaching staff and students. Also, members of the EEC will visit the clinical departments and practice bases of IHSM.

The visit of the external expert commission of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating will be held in a combined format and in the following composition:

5. IAAR employer - Saktanova Tamara Sultanovna, Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, International Educational holding “Gaudeamus” (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan)

6. Observer from MOES KR - Aliabeva Damira Kakenovna, Chief Specialist of the Department of Professional Education of the MOES KR (Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic);
