On January 27, 2022, a seminar on religious literacy for the students of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) was held in accordance with the approved plan for the prevention of extremism and terrorism among students of the IHSM.

The invited lecturer was Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Member of the Expert Council under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Member of the Ulema Council of the Kyrgyz Republic, Director of the analytical center “Religion, Law, and Politics” - Malikov Kadyr Kurmanbekovich.

During the seminar the lecturer familiarized the students with the religious situation in the city of Bishkek, as well as in the whole world, moreover, he gave an explanation of the foundations of secularism, improving the legal and religious literacy of students and teachers. He also defined the concepts of “terrorism”, “ethnic conflict”, “extremism” and explained the harmfulness of destructive religious movements.
