It was decided to introduce a state of emergency in Bishkek, Osh and Jalal-Abad cities, Nookat and Kara-Suu districts of Osh region, Suzak district of Jalal-Abad region. The Information Policy Department of the Presidential Administration reported.

The state of emergency is introduced for the period from 08.00 a..m. on March 25 to 08.00 a.m. on April 15, 2020. Commandant’s offices are formed on the territory of these cities and districts.

The President Sooronbai Jeenbekov met with the Speaker of the Parliament Dastanbek Dzhumabekov, the Prime Minister Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev and the Chairperson of the Supreme Court Gulbara Kalieva. The head of state noted the difficult situation in the world and in the country related to the spread of coronavirus. The President stressed that the decrees on introduction of the state of emergency were signed and sent to the Parliament.

«President Sooronbai Jeenbekov stressed that while crossing sanitary-quarantine posts in the regions, it is necessary to pay special attention to the logistics of heavy vehicles with food products and other consumer goods,» the statement says.

Dear students, during the state of emergency, you are strictly asked to stay at your flats, hostels. As per the government of Kyrgyzstan, any local or international citizen who does not obey the self-quarantine rules/guidelines defined by the government will be liable to pay a fine of 300.000 soms or 5 years imprisonment.

The following measures are being conducted by the administration of Interntional Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) for the prevention of viral infections, as well as Covid-19: 

1. Distance learning  has been set up for the period of premature vacations,

2. Sanitary-educational and preventive work with students are being conducted,

3. Faculty members of departments are assigned to the hostels of the IHSM for preventive, explanatory works with the students,

4. Disinfectants, bactericidal and ultraviolet lamps, medical masks were purchased for all the hostels and campuses of IHSM,

5. Awareness-raising works among students, their parents and other interested parties are being conducted at the official website, social networks of IHSM,

6. Unauthorized people are prohibited to visit the dormitories of the IHSM for safety reasons.

Everyone can contribute to the prevention of the spread of COVID-19.
