On December 25, 2023, members of the literature club «Adabiyyat,» @adabiyyat_club the head of the Department of Humanities at IHSM, Alymkulova N.N., the senior Russian language instructor, also the club’s supervisor, Ajibekova A.A., and senior assistant Sagynychbekova M.S., visited the house-museum of the great Kyrgyz writer Chyngyz Aitmatov, who would have celebrated his 95th birthday this year.

Before the visit, club members familiarized themselves with Chyngyz Aitmatov’s works by reading his story «First Teacher.»

The excursion exceeded all expectations, allowing them to see the place where the prolific writer lived, worked, and created. The Aitmatov family diligently preserves the house and the atmosphere created during his lifetime.

In the museum, club members were impressed by the extensive library featuring works in various languages, including Hindi, Urdu, Telugu, Tamil, and Arabic.

There were also numerous pieces of artwork and souvenirs gifted by the writer’s admirers, along with rare photo frames of writer with famous personalities of the world.

The guide, Aigerim, @aitmatov.kg enthusiastically conducted the tour, sharing interesting facts about Aitmatov’s parents, life, and literary works.

As a gift, club members presented a painting created by a member of the «Talents» arts club @ihsm_talents_club - Varsha Yadav. The guide expressed admiration for the students’ talent and promised to deliver the painting to Chyngyz Aitmatov’s son, Eldar Aitmatov.

The club members thoroughly enjoyed the excursion, leaving them with unforgettable memories and inspiring them to embark on new creative endeavors. This event made a remarkable contribution to their educational experience, emphasizing the importance of cultural heritage and creativity in their learning. #ihsm
