The Ninth Review Conference of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) took place in Geneva, Switzerland, from 28 November to 16 December 2022.
This event was held under Council Decision 2019/97 in the Framework of the EU Strategy against Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction on 01.12.2022.
Dr. Ashyralieva Damira, IHSM (Public Health Department), presented the results of Peer Review Exercise for National Implementation BWC in Kyrgyz Republic. 
The event provided more information on the two EU Council Decisions sub-pillars and highlighted opportunities for BWC States Parties to get further engaged. During the event, two publications were launched: a report on the outcomes of four Regional Preparatory Meetings held in preparation for the Ninth Review Conference and a Guide for the Implementation of the BWC.
