"Variety of Cultures" festival
On March 27th, 2024, the "Variety of Cultures" festival unfolded, drawing enthusiastic participation from both the "Talents" arts club and students of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM). Over the preceding two weeks, our students diligently prepared for the festival, immersing themselves in the learning of national dances, games, and culinary techniques to master the art of preparing traditional dishes and sweets. This period also fostered new friendships and strengthened existing bonds among the students.
The festival itself was a vibrant and culturally rich affair. Participants proudly showcased the unique traditions, attire, culinary delights, and cultural heritage of their respective countries, resulting in a joyous celebration of diversity and friendship among nations.
During the event, students received support from esteemed Nuriya N. Alymkulova, the head of IHSM's Department of Humanities, Aziza A. Ajibekova, a senior lecturer of Russian language and senior department curator, and Mirabella S. Sagynychbekova, a senior department assistant.
Moreover, the festival provided an invaluable opportunity for our university students to engage with peers from other educational institutions, thereby enhancing inter-university connections and fostering a sense of community.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the organizers—the Republican Center for Health Promotion and Mass Communication, along with the generous support from the Health Promotion Association and the International Organization for Migration—for facilitating this memorable event and for their exceptional efforts in its organization.
