From May 6 to May 11, 2024, the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) had the honor of hosting Dr. Karlygash Toguzbaeva, MD, Professor of the Department of Public Health at the Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov. Professor Toguzbaeva, a distinguished Honorary Professor of IHSM and a long-time friend and partner of the IHSM Public Health Department, conducted a series of lectures and master classes for faculty members, undergraduates, and doctoral students. 

During her visit, Professor Toguzbaeva delivered comprehensive lectures on current topics in the protection and promotion of public health, occupational health, and occupational diseases. Her sessions provided invaluable insights and advanced knowledge to all attendees, enhancing the academic and practical understanding of these critical areas. In addition to her lectures, Professor Toguzbaeva engaged in productive discussions with the faculty members of the IHSM Public Health Department. 

They reviewed the progress of joint projects currently being implemented and developed a strategic plan for future cooperation in the fields of science and education. The administration of IHSM expresses its profound gratitude to Professor Toguzbaeva for her contributions and looks forward to continued collaboration, fostering advancements in public health education and research.
