Blood Donor Day took place on 12th October 2022 at the Medical Clinic "VEDANTA" of International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM).
The event was conducted to:
- raise awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products for transfusion;
- highlight the critical contribution voluntary, unpaid blood donors make to national health systems;
- support national blood transfusion services, blood donor organizations by reinforcing national and local campaigns.
Students and representatives of the IHSM took active part in the campaign with the slogan “Donating blood is an act of solidarity. Join the effort and save lives” in order to draw attention to the roles that voluntary blood donations play in saving lives and enhancing solidarity within communities.
Heartfelt appreciation goes to the students and other participants, as their involvement and support will bring someone a gracious gift of life.
