On the occasion of December 12, National Literature Day, Bishkek Humanities University organized an international competition for lovers of poetry from Kyrgyzstan and neighboring republics called "Alykuldu okuibuz", dedicated to the great contemporary poet Alykul Osmonov.

Students of the Issyk-Kul campus of the IHSM took part in the competition and were awarded diplomas and certificates. The students were trained by the Deputy Dean - Venera Sagyndyk and the teacher of the Kyrgyz language - Zhumabekova Burul. The students visited Alykul's house in Cholpon-Ata, where he spent the last 5 years of his life, and received information about the writer's path, poems and translations. Asrar Shaikh, a student of the 2nd group of the 3rd semester, sang the song “30 years”, Atik Latif, a student of the 43rd group of the 5th semester, sang the song “Issyk-Kul”, 5 students of the 9th group of the 3rd semester sang the songs of Alykul:
Hudhayfa - Urdu
Sameer in Hindi
Supriya - Kannada
Vamshi - Telugu
Shalika - Malayalam

 They translated into their native language and read expressively.
