At the international festival “Rukhany Baylyk”, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Aitmatov and the development of the Kyrgyz language
On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of Ch. Aitmatov, the international festival “Rukhany Baylyk” was held, organized by the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev and the International Higher School of Medicine, which took place on December 21, 2023 at 15:00 in the congress hall of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after Akhunbaev.
Chingiz Aitmatova’s sister Rosetta Aitmatova Torokulovna, deputy chairman of the National Commission on the State Language under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhyldyz Kalmashevna Orozobekova, representatives of ministries, teachers, professors and students of higher educational institutions were invited to the festival as honorary spectators.
The international festival was attended by educational institutions: the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I. Akhunbaev, the International Higher School of Medicine, the International University of Kyrgyzstan, “Salymbekov University” and presented the works of Ch. Aitmatov in the Kyrgyz language.
As part of the festival, there was an exhibition of paintings based on the works of Ch. Aitmatov, an artistic reading of poems dedicated to the memory of Ch. Aitmatov, the performance of excerpts from his works, and melodious songs addressed to the heroes of Ch. Aitmatov’s works.
Following the results of the festival, the rolling cup was awarded to the Salymbekov University. In accordance with the Regulations of the “Rukhany Baylyk” festival, it is held every 2 years and takes place in one of the participating universities.
Rosetta Torokulovna, the sister of our great writer, blessed the participants and organizers of the “International Festival” dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Ch. Aitmatov and wished them a happy journey.
The purpose of the festival: conducting office work in the Kyrgyz language in medical universities where foreign students study, introducing foreign students through the Kyrgyz language to the national value and creativity of Ch. Aitmatov.
