The International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) is pleased to announce the successful completion of an academic mobility internship program undertaken by its students in collaboration with Osh State University in the city of Osh, Kyrgyzstan. The program took place from October 23 to 28, 2023, under an agreement between the two institutions.

During the academic mobility program, IHSM students had the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a practical learning experience at the medical center of Osh State University. This valuable experience allowed our students to gain insights and hands-on knowledge in the field of emergency medical care at the pre-hospital level. They had the privilege to explore and understand the intricacies of the emergency medical service, as well as the core responsibilities of a paramedic within a specialized medical care team.

The students were also introduced to the technical equipment used in emergency medical services, including the vehicles and the intensive care unit of the medical center. Furthermore, they actively participated in practice sessions related to emergency care for the management of acute therapeutic diseases and the handling of urgent medical conditions. These practice sessions encompassed activities such as conducting thorough chest examinations and providing critical emergency care for asthmatic conditions, among others.
