Natural Science Department of International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) conducted an Online Olympiad on chemistry for the 1st semester students of IHSM, whereas, five teams took part in the Olympiad.

The organizers of the Online Olympiad were Associate Professor Aitkeeva Ch., Adyralieva Ch., and Zhumadilova A.

The main goal of the Olympiad was not only to broaden the horizons of knowledge gained during the study of chemistry, but also to get to know each other better.

The Olympiad consisted of the following parts:

Presentation of teams;

Competition "Chemistry in the Kitchen";

General chemistry quiz,

Logical questions.

During the Olympiad the teams made short presentations about themselves and presented videos on chemical experiments in the kitchen, which were prepared in advance, using safe food from the kitchen for laboratory work, thus showing interesting chemical experiments.

All students showed good theoretical knowledge and practical skills, moreover, between the tasks of the Online Olympiad, students showed musical performances and funny videos on chemistry.

The first place was awarded to the "Elite" team:

Shour Rahman 55 gr.

Mukhtar Ahmed 16 gr.

All participants of the Olympiad were awarded certificates.
