DEFA Project Training Equips Kyrgyzstan Universities with ESG-Aligned QA Methodology
In a bid to bolster the financial autonomy and sustainability of universities in Kyrgyzstan, the DEFA (Development of Financial Autonomy of Universities) project hosted a comprehensive training session on Quality Assurance (QA) methodology aligned with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.
The training, was held at the Skills Development Center of Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov in Bishkek city on March 20th, 2024, and brought together DEFA project coordinators and Quality Assurance groups. Through a mix of lectures, presentations, and interactive workshops, participants delved into the integration of ESG considerations into QA frameworks.
Key objectives of the training included integrating sustainability principles into decision-making processes, enhancing accountability, risk assessment and management with an ESG lens, stakeholder engagement, and fostering long-term value creation.
Upon completion, participants received evaluation sheets to provide feedback on the training, ensuring continuous improvement in implementing ESG-aligned QA methodologies across Kyrgyzstan universities.
