EASE ON BUSINESSES FROM MAY 21, 2020

Authorities are easing lockdown on some businesses from May 21 as part of government's plan on gradual resumption of economic activities in Kyrgyzstan, First Deputy Prime Minister Kubatbek Boronov told a press briefing on May 19, including malls, shops, automobile markets, livestock markets, private tutors, private family baths and spas, hotels, footwear repair, and others with some restrictions still in effect.

 

For example, the malls are not allowed to resume food courts and children playgrounds inside. Hotels are not allowed to resume work of pools and gyms inside. Large public baths and saunas are still not allowed, he said.

 

Additionally from May 25, bazaars like Dordoi, Ortosai, Osh, Kara-Suu can restore operation.

 

Cafes and restaurants fitting no more than 50 people can resume with the visitors' staying 1.5-2 meters away from each other.

 

Sanitary and epidemiological requirements must be met in all facilities that resume operations, he added.
