On January 29, 2022, the Chemistry Olympiad for students of the 1st semester was held at the Department of Natural Sciences of the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM).

The organizers of the Olympiad were teachers of chemistry of the Department of Natural Sciences:

• Associate Professor Aitkeeva Ch.A.
• Senior teacher Aidyralieva Ch.B.
• Teacher Zhumadilova A.B.

5 teams of 6 students from the Central and Issyk-Kul campuses took part in the Olympiad. The Olympiad was held online. The main goal of the Olympiad was:

• Identification of talented students interested in chemistry;
• Development of interest in the subject of Chemistry among the participants of the Olympiad,
• Providing participants of the Olympiad with the opportunity to participate in regional Olympiads.

At the beginning of the Olympiad, the teams made brief presentations about themselves "Who are we?"
 In the second part, the participants answered the quiz "Chemistry around us", and in the third part, "Chemistry and Life", students solved situational problems. Further, in the fourth part, the students participated in the "Magic Chemistry" competition, where they answered the video tasks for laboratory work. At the end of the Olympiad, students presented posters "Chemistry and Medicine".

All students showed good theoretical knowledge and practical skills during the Olympiad.

The members of the jury were:

• Khudaibergenova Bermet Merlisovna, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Head of the Department of Natural Sciences;
• Aidana Biimyrsaeva, teacher of biology, Department of Natural Sciences,
• Zhanybek Sultanov, Informatics teacher of the Department of Natural Sciences,

The competition ended with the following results:

• Agent 113 - I place
•  Нydroxy-- II place
•  Positive protons - III place

All participants of the Olympiad were awarded with Diplomas and Certificates.
