On April 21, 2022, a round table "The Development of the Master's Degree in Public Health: Challenges and Prospects" was conducted at the IHSM.
The round table was attended by the rector of the IHSM Dr. S.M. Akhunbaev, vice-rector Dr. A.A. Usenova, Dean of Postgraduate Education Dr. A.E. Bazhanova, Head of the Public Health Department Dr. K.O. Dzhusupov, Specialist of the IHSM Postgraduate Education Office O.G. Denisova, Director of the National Center of Physiatry Prof. M.M. Karataev, Director of the Republican Center of Health Promotion Dr. N.A. Altymysheva, Prof. Epidemiology of the  Kyrgyz State Medical Academy V.S. Toygonbayeva, etc.

The IHSM rector S.M. Akhunbaev has welcomed all participants. Dr. A.E. Bazhanova made a report “On the Master's program in Public Health”. Dr. K.O. Dzhusupov spoke about the competencies of the Master of Public Health. Ms. O.G. Denisova reported on the results of a survey of master students and teachers involved in the implementation of master's programs, on satisfaction with various aspects of the educational process. Then the master student Aiganysh Ibraimova shared her experience of studying in the Master's program "Public Health" at the IHSM.

The discussion of issues and perspectives of the Master program in Public Health became very active and positive. Prof. Artykova N., Prof. Karataev M.M., Dr. Altymysheva N.A., Prof. V.S. Toygonbayeva took active participation in the discussion. Then they made recommendations on: 

- The program structure: When planning, it is first necessary to analyze and evaluate the realistic possibilities, the study experience, and examples, and discuss the content to determine the pros and cons.
Work with students: In addition to lectures and practice, the IHSM must give the opportunity to students to visit, get acquainted with specialized medical institutions, centers, etc., and cooperate with them in terms of training.
- Organizational process: Be more open to organizing the learning process. The exchange of opinions between the teaching staff and students is important. Carry out competitions.
